The Maryland Campaign is known primarily (by most) for the Battle of Antietam. However, two battles contested in present day West Virginia played pivotal roles in this campaign. This presentation discusses the Battles of Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown and the role of each in the Maryland Campaign.
