The program follows the actions of the units from the new state of West Virginia during the Gettysburg Campaign. The four units engaged at Gettysburg were: the First West Virginia Cavalry, the Third West Virginia Cavalry, the Seventh West Virginia Infantry, and Battery C Battery, First West Virginia Artillery (Pierpont Battery). In addition, West Virginia Units participated in Battles at Brandy Station, Second Winchester, Hanover, and Monterey Pass.
